This button has a picture of an "X" (check box) on it and is located to the right of the arrow buttons. Clicking on it will bring up the Selective Find palette in which you can specify what field(s) you want the stack's find feature to search in while finding. The palette will appear with the current settings. You can have the Find operation search either each field separately or all the fields. Selective finding can make finding a string considerably easier, but you cannot select more than one field unless you select them all. You can keep the palette on the screen and change the settings between finding; the changes take place immediately. The palette operates in the same manner as the Local Time Zone and DST palette (see the topic "The Time Zone Select Button"). Quitting HyperCard will not change the setting.
